Our pergola is tested and engineered to hold up to 80 mph winds while the louvers are closed. That is already low hurricane force wind!

If the wind is over this range, please open the louvers to let the wind go through. We have many customers in the Florida area who gave us feedback that our Villa Pergola lasted through a hurricane while keeping the louvers open.

Our wind resistant screens have a 60 mph wind resistant rating while closed. It is recommended to open the screens when strong winds come.

We are proud to say our Villa Pergola is engineered to withhold 15 PSF of snow load. That is a lot of snow! If the snow is over this range, please open the louvers to let the snow fall through.

With mixing of wet and dry snow, this means it can hold about at least 1 ft tall of snow on top while the louvers are closed. It is recommended to open the louvers during storm or snow season. (Online sources states Dry snow is about 4PSF, Normal snow is about 6PSF, Wet snow is about 14PSF. Please note, this is for reference only.)

Our villa pergola is engineered to be 13ft apart without a center post. Our biggest pergola now with 4 posts is the 13x13’ with louvers that are 13ft wide.This is not what economy brand can do. Guarantee.

This pergola is the real deal! Very well constructed, the instructions were clear and concise and it went up without issue. I installed the house-attached 10x10 in about 8 hours (by myself...nobody to assist) and was very happy with the results. Please be sure to NOT overtighten the nut/bolts that attach the slats as it states in the instructions or the ram motor won't be able to function properly. I'm very satisfied with Bon Pergola and would recommend to anyone wishing to put up a quality pergola.

We very much like our new pergola! We redid our backyard and needed a new pergola to replace our old one. Instead of a similar wood pergola we wanted something more modern and dynamic. We looked at a couple of options and decided Bon Pergola was the best choice for us. My wife and I (mostly her) assembled it ourselves and it was really easy to put together. We used the recommended contractor to pour some footings and anchor it for us and they did a great job and were very nice! It's fully installed now and we love that we can adjust the slots and that it has lights for us to use at night! Would very much recommend!

Overall really enjoying the pergola. It looks good and love the no-upkeep of a metal pergola and the options to open/close the roof.

I ordered the 9ft extended posts to get closer to the top of our windows. They sent those plus 8 foot posts for some reason and we didn’t realize the bolts were in the 8 foot posts, causing us to burn a day of planned set up.

I’d say overall the pergola set up is a little more involved than expected.

Great product and at the base level better than the competition at the same price. The motorized louvers with the optional rain sensor is the perfect set up. Packaged in a way that makes assembly really easy with confidence. The product has really clean details and quickly made the pergola look integrated.
